Support
Most connection problems come down to one of a few things. Start here — and if none of it helps, email me directly.

Email damonvjanis@gmail.com. Please include your camera model, its firmware version, and your iPhone's iOS version — that's usually enough to spot the problem straight away.
Setting up
- On the camera: Setup menu → Wi-Fi → Establish Wi-Fi connection.
- On the iPhone: Settings → Wi-Fi, then join the camera's network. The network name and password are under Wi-Fi → Network settings on the camera.
- Open Deo and tap Connect.
Troubleshooting
The iPhone says the Wi-Fi has no internet connection
That is expected and not a problem. The camera's network is a direct link between the two devices, so it has no route to the internet. If iOS offers to switch you back to a different network, decline it.
Deo can't find the camera
Check that the iPhone is actually joined to the camera's network rather than your home Wi-Fi — iOS will sometimes rejoin a remembered network on its own. Then confirm the camera still shows its Wi-Fi as active; many bodies switch it off after a period of inactivity to save battery.
Deo asks for permission to find devices on the local network
Allow it. Deo needs that permission to reach the camera at its address on the camera's own network. Without it, the app cannot connect. You can review the setting under Settings → Deo → Local Network.
The connection drops while shooting
This is normal behaviour on some bodies — the camera pauses Wi-Fi while it writes a burst to the card, or sleeps between shots. Deo notices and reconnects on its own, keeping your last photo on screen while it does. If it does not come back, tap Disconnect and then Connect again.
Photos arrive slowly
Transfer speed is set by the camera's Wi-Fi, not by the app. Distance and walls make a noticeable difference, and shooting RAW gives the camera more to send than JPEG does.
Nothing happens after tapping Connect
Some cameras need a firmware update before they will talk to a smart device directly. On the D7500 this means firmware 1.10 or later. Your camera's firmware version is under Setup menu → Firmware version, and Nikon publishes updates on their download centre.
Compatibility
Deo works with Nikon cameras that have built-in Wi-Fi and support a direct connection to a smart device. It has been tested most thoroughly on the Nikon D7500. If your camera connects but behaves oddly, please write in — details from real bodies are genuinely useful.
